'GAV' screen count less than Aagadu!!

Ram Charan Teja's much-talked about Telugu movie Govindudu Andarivadele (GAV) has recently completed the formalities of the Censor Board and got a U/A certificate. The Krishna Vamsi-directed film is all set for a grand release worldwide on October 1. It is said to be the biggest release ever for Cherry. But as per its latest screen count the film will not be able to beat the record of Mahesh Babu's Aagadu.

Released on September 19, Aagadu has become the widest ever release for a South Indian film both in India and overseas. The movie had graced 850 screens in AP and Telangana, 125 screens in Karnataka, 60 screens in Tamil Nadu, 115 screens in Maharashtra, 80 screens in other parts of North India, 159 cinema halls and 75 screens in other international markets. It had graced a total of 1464 theatres, which is the all time record

Reports suggest that the makers of Govindudu Andarivadele have booked around 1250 screens across the globe. The film will release in 750 theatres in AP and Telangana, 100 cinema halls in Karnataka, 50 screens in Tamil Nadu, 85 screens in Maharashtra, 60 screens in other parts of North India, 154 screens in the USA and 50 screens in other international markets. Considering its hype trade experts had predicted that it would beat all the previous records, but its screen count looks quite lower than that of Aagadu.

Govindudu Andarivadele is touted to be a family entertainer. Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Aggarwal are playing the lead roles in the movie, which features Srikanth, Kamalinee Mukherjee, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha and Rahman. Its promos have created lot of expectations. Trade experts feel that it may release in lesser screens than Aagadu, but it will do better collection than the latter.
