Samantha’s ‘Sikander’ (‘Anjaan’) directed by Lingusamy got negative reviews
from the first day. Those who watched the film felt length of the film was the
main drawback. Filmmakers after getting the feedback decided to trim the film
by 6 minutes. Film’s Tamil version producer Dhananjayan Govind said “The
audience felt that the second half of the film was long, and so, we decided to
trim six minutes of it to make it racier. Lingusamy, director of the film, felt
that a scene did not get with the story and asked for it to be removed.
Comedian Brahmanandham’s scenes have been removed from the Tamil version of the
film, but have been retained in the Telugu version.”
