While the likes of Nayantara,
Tamannah, Samantha and Hansika are giving a stiff competition to bag the south
remake of Queen, senior diva Trisha Krishnan is leading the race ahead compared
to much younger actresses. Tamil producer Thiagarajan, who bougth the South
remake rights of Kangana Ranaut-starrer Queen, is keen to rope in Trisha, say
reports.
Although the names of Nayantara,
Tamannah and Samantha were considered initially, since Nayantara's Anamika
(Telugu-Tamil), bombed and Tamannah hasn't have good trackrecord of scoring in
remakes (Himmatwala remake tumbled), and Samantha for various reasons have been
lagging in the race. Hansika who is not much happening in Tamil, too kept away.
Given that Trisha made a grand comeback with Endrendrum Punnagai last year. All
these are said to be working in favour of Trisha. Meanwhile, there is no clue
on who is going to wield the megaphone for the multi-lingual remake.
