Actor Jagapathi Babu considers himself lucky for landing an
opportunity to share screen space with superstar Rajinikanth in his next Tamil
film "Lingaa", which was officially launched Friday.
"Who would not feel lucky to act with the Thalaiva? I'm
lucky and extremely happy that I will be working with him (Rajinikanth) for the
second time. When most actors are waiting for a single opportunity to work with
him, I've got my second chance," Jagapathi Babu told.
Jagapathi Babu and Rajinikanth previously worked in Telugu
drama "Katha Nayakudu".
A romantic hero for nearly two decades, Jagapathi was
recently seen as an antagonist in Telugu actioner "Legend".
Asked if he would also be essaying a negative role in
"Lingaa", he said: "I can't divulge details about my role. I've
been told that Rajini sir really liked my performance in 'Legend'. I'm just
looking forward to work with him."
"Lingaa", which also features Sonakshi Sinha and
Anushka Shetty, will be helmed by K. S. Ravikumar.
Meanwhile, Jagapathi Babu will be seen in the role of Mahesh
Babu's father in upcoming yet-untitled Telugu film to be directed by Koratala
Siva.
