Reigning star Allu Arjun clocks more than Rs 9.32 crores in
Nizam with his latest offing Race Gurram and surpasses the first week record of
his rivals Mahesh, Ram Charan and sits next to Pawan Kalyan whose film
"Atharintiki. Daaredi" stands tall with 10.48 crore first week
collections.
Rough first week collections
Nizam- 9.32 crores
Andhra: 10 crore-plus
Ceded- 2.5 crores
overseas- 2.5 crore plus
On whole, the film garnered around 24-crore plus first week
record. Allu Arjun shows his star power and joins the ranks of big-league
stars.
2. Despite big hype, comedy flick "Laddu Babu' fails to
set box office on fire as it opened with tanda openings of just 80 laksh plus
across the state out of the 6 crores it was sold for. It was sold for 1.5 crore
in Nizam, but distributors are expected to lose more than 60% of their
investments, since surprisingly Allari Naresh is unable to draw openings and its
sustaining at theatres, seems remote. .
3. Charmi's "Pratighatana" was out of few theatres
in Nizam on first day itself, showing its lacklustre response and it could
manage to garner 20 lakhs on first day which is much worse than Charmi's
earlier films and comeback plans of veteran director Tammareddy seems to have
gone awry.
