Manchu family multi-starrer Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda was made at a whopping budget of 30 crores. Although the movie got a good talk it could not make business to that range that it could cover up the costs. And there are three Manchu heroes who did not take the remuneration for the movie as it is their home productionThe movie was dubbed into Malyalam too and was released but it did just about okay there. And sadly the makers (24 Frames Factory) did not want to sell the rights for 20 crores. Which resulted in a situation where they could not recover the cost let alone profits.
But thanks to MAA Channel’s generosity, they bought the satellite rights of the movie for 4.25 crores which is superb compared to its box office stamina! Thanks to the MAA, the movie was bailed out.
