Sai Dharam Tej, Saiyami Kher and Sharadda Das starrer ‘Rey’,
directed by YVS Chowdary is set for a grand release world wide on May 9th. The
movie is going to be the first Telugu film to be releasing in West Indies. The
movie will be specially dubbed into the West Indian language and will be
released there. The principal cast and the technicians will be team up and
attend the premiere shows in West Indies and America.
YVS Chowdary said, ” Some
generations ago, when the British were ruling India, many Indians especially
the Telugu people went to West Indies and settled there. The Britishers had
sent some of our Indians to grow Sugar Cane there. ‘Rey’ is about a guy from a
Telugu family, who settled in West Indies. He teams up with a girl from India
and aims to win a prestigious dance title held in America.
According to the
story, we can’t shoot at any other place. The first half runs in West Indies
and the second half in America. In the same way, how the Indian cricketers have
bagged good name in West Indies cricket team, our hero represents West Indies
and wins the prestigious “Pop of World” title in America. We have successfully
shot the movie in West Indies with the co-operation of the Telugu people there
and their government. So we thought that it would be nice if we release the
movie there. We have also planned special premiere shows with our team “.
