Yevadu ReviewWhat is “Yevadu” about?
Yevadu is a revenge drama with a little bit of tweaking done. This tweaking allows the film to have two individuals stories cross each other.
How is Ram Charan’s performance?
After a dud show in Hindi debut Ram Charan looks at ease in Telugu. Mind you this film was shot simultaneously with Zanjeer so there is not much of change in terms of expression but the actor’s biggest asset voice comes into great use in Telugu. Add dances and body language during the action sequences Charan manages to pass muster.

Yevadu ReviewWhat about Vamshi Paidipally direction?
Direction by Vamshi Paidipally is good. He narrates a simple revenge story with great conviction and maintains the emotions through out. It is this emotions that elevates the proceedings in whatever little way they can even though one might have seen those sequences many times earlier.

Yevadu ReviewOther artists performance?
Allu Arjun and Kajal have short guest appearances in the film which is quite central to the film and they have done a good job with it. Saikumar shines as Dharma in the film and veterans Jayasudha and Kota Srinivas compete with him. Shruti Haasan has a very small part that is largely relegated to the song sequence. She doesn’t register much. Shashank in a brief appearance is alright. LB Sreeram plays a character that is typical of him once again.

Yevadu Review, DSPHow is Music, Songs and other departments?
Music by Devi Sri Prasad is okay-ish but its his background score that manages to leave a mark. It is sure to be among his best. Cinematography could have been better. Editing in jumpy at times but alright over all. Production values are rich.

Yevadu ReviewHighlights?
Flashback
Action sequences
Freedom song
Drawbacks?
Predictable second half
Lack of entertainment

Sai-KumarWhat about the box office performance of the film?
The film’s box office performance might be divided once again like the actor’s past film Naayak. The revenues in India are likely to be good given the competition it has along with the festival advantage ahead. In Overseas it might be a different story.
Did I enjoy it?
Yes
Will you recommend it?
