Mahesh 1Nenokkadine’ fails to register big openings
Mahesh Babu’s 1:Nenokkadine’, which released to mixed reviews on Friday, couldn’t break the record of the highest opening in Andhra Pradesh, previously set by Attarintiki Daaredhi. According to trade pundits, Mahesh’s film registered an opening of INR 8.4 crore on release day in AP, while the numbers from the rest of the country and overseas are yet to come in.
Insiders say that it’s because of the film’s psychological story-line and its length that it couldn’t register a bigger opening. Trade analysts expected to easily mint over INR 10 crore on the first day, but the film now stands 6th after AD, Baadhshah, Ramayya Vasthavayya, Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu and Naayak.
The film’s collections are expected to dip further over the weekend as the initial buzz has been mixed. In this rate, the film’s opening weekend box-office collection will be all time low.
